He brings top managerial and regulatory experience to the organization. Although no more on the Board of the company his association and guidance continues.
Dr. Kalyan Sen, Ex-Director
A brilliant mining engineering graduate from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur and Dr. Sc. Tech from AGH, Poland. Retired as Director (CMRI cum CFRI), units of council of scientific and Industrial research (CSIR), Govt of India in the year 2005. As a brilliant scientist he brought value to the research oriented efforts of the organization. Despite his dissociation from the Board of the company his ungrudging guidance and technical inputs are always available.
Shri Lakshman Jha, Ex-Director
A brilliant mining engineering graduate from IIG, Kharagpur HE led CIL as Director (Technical) during turbulent days registering an overall growth rate of 6%+. Has been Director (Technical ) of BCCL too, a most difficult subsidiary of CIL where he excelled himself. His technical expertise was pivotal for undertaking large projects by the organization in the beginning. He has since quit the Board but is always forthcoming with his advice when needed.
